The A2O reverse osmosis unit

The interior of A2O Pure direct-flow consists of a booster pump and 800G GPD reverse osmosis membrane, a prefilter and postfilter for reverse osmosis unit. The system produces up to 2.1 liters of water per minute.

1 Flow rate is tested at 25°C; lower water temperatures will reduce flow rate.
2 The system is influenced by water supply conditions such as pressure, temperature, TDS levels and hardness. The better these inlet conditions, the better the performance. Depending on local water quality and use environment, filter lifespan, flow rate, recovery rate and salt rejection will vary.
3 The system complies with European health, safety and environmental legislation, and can be sold in Europe.

What are PFAS?

PFAS are a group of more than 4,700 compounds that have been developed and used since the 1940s. These PFAS chemicals are used in a wide range of products, for example, kitchen equipment, foams, etc. However, these chemicals are difficult to break down, both in your body and in the environment, and instead of disappearing, they accumulate. Recent research has also suggested that prolonged exposure could lead to multiple health problems.

THE POWER OF NATURE

Aquaporin Inside® technology incorporates aquaporin proteins to replicate nature's water filtration process. Specialized water channels, aquaporin proteins, exist in the membrane of all living cells. They are found in all living organisms, from plants and animals to humans, and they are essential to all life on Earth.

Placed in the cell membrane, aquaporin proteins transport water, and only water, in and out of the cell. Billions of years of evolution have made them extremely efficient and highly selective, like a water superhighway. They are far superior to any artificial water filter. One square meter of artificial synthetic membrane can filter approximately 50 liters of water per hour. One gram of aquaporins can filter 700 liters per second.

We incorporate this natural technology into all our products to enable fast, energy-efficient and natural water filtration across a wide range of applications, from industrial wastewater treatment to food and beverage concentration and home water purification.

HOW IT WORKS

In simple terms, synthetic water filtration membranes are dense polymer sheets containing tiny holes. These holes are micron to nanometer in size and only allow very small particles to pass. In contrast, Aquaporin Inside® membranes harness nature's remarkable capacity for selective molecule transport. The membranes mimic the outside of a cell, with aquaporin proteins in a stabilizing membrane layer. Through their specialized natural architecture, these aquaporin proteins only allow water to pass. This makes them faster and more selective than traditional synthetic water filtration membranes.
